Ek Villain Fifth Day Box Office Response
Ek Villain is a terrifying and thrilling genre that has surely roped people off their seats in the cinema. Spell bounded by the cast that the film gave and the story in the form of reverse narration gave the viewers a dew-fresh film to watch.
Movie critics were too mystified with the story and gave a rating on 4-4.5, which is quite well for these newbies (Shraddha Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra). Riteish who was always seen in fun-loving movies that creamed the gags, did surprising well with his character that is sumptuous. Viewers and critics have all given the movie a green signal. The first day seemed to go pretty well for the Villains with an extravagant earning of 16.72 Crores. Well, all credits to the enthralling trailers and the mesmerising soundtracks that made it all up to this level. In a way, the trailers were like pedestal to this earning. Second day came in with a good audience and a little fall in the earnings with 16.54 Crores. Third day could see a hike in the earnings and an excellent 17.44 Crores could be made by “Ek Villain” at the box-office. First weekend collection soared up to 50.70 Crores Nett.
On fourth day it has collected 8.1 Crores. It rose to be the second highest opener of the year 2014 after Salman Khan’s “Jai Ho”. It is running quite successfully in the theatres yet. Tuesday morning or the 5th day saw a normal occupancy of 25-30% in India.

The fifth day collection of “Ek Villain” can be estimated to around 6.8 Crores. Theatres have opened up to occupancy as much as 35% in Mumbai, 45% in Delhi for the morning and noon shows. Gurgaon, while had 30+% occupancy for the noon shows. Tuesday grants great offers for the cinema, and thus the occupancy is supposed to be higher by the time sun sets in.
“Ek Villain” is a fine amalgam of integrity and seriousness blended with fresh acting and story. The narration is powerful and so is the script. It is sure to do a very good business on the Box Office.
