Shahrukh’s Fan Faced more than 60% of Drop on Monday
Shahrukh Khan’s latest offering, the thriller drama Fan has completed its opening weekend on an excellent note but lower than expected. Being SRK starrer, the movie had massive pre-release hype across the globe. After release it got amazing response on box office and received positive reviews from fans and critics as well. But some critics are not in its complete favor and rated it with low stars. They have appreciated the performance of Shahrukh in Fan but not happy with its direction. The YRF’s presentation is still buzzing loudly among audience but its box office report says something else.
On the first day, Fan made biggest opening of the year so far with the business of 19.20 cr and reported overall occupancy of 50% across India. On the next day i.e. Saturday it faced a drop in its business and minted 15.40 cr. On the last day of weekend i.e. Sunday, it raked the business of 17.75 cr with little rise. With this, Fan has also registered the highest opening weekend collection of the year so far with figure 52.35 cr. From the overseas market, it has done the business 40.01 cr till weekend.
Now the movie has entered in weekdays and as expected started getting lower response than weekend. On Monday it faced the drop of more than 60% and added the amount of 6.05 cr from Indian screens. Till its fourth day, total domestic collection of Fan is recorded as 58.40 cr. The performance is much lower than the earlier expectations and the level of a superstar as well.
