Last Friday released Hindi offerings Mulk & Karwaan have completed their first week on a decent note due to a good content, while the third one Fanney Khan has got failed to hit the target right and shown a poor performance throughout. Despite higher screen count, star power & opening than the other two films, it has ended the week at the last position.
Directed by Atul Manjrekar, Fanney Khan got mixed reactions and did the business of 7.75 crores in the opening weekend with 2.15 crores on Friday, 2.60 crores on Saturday & 3 crores on Sunday. Then on weekdays, with a considerable drop, it minted the amount of 0.85 crore on Monday, 0.75 crore on Tuesday, 0.65 crore on Wednesday & 0.55 crore on Thursday. After a week, its total collection has recorded as 10.55 crores.
On the other hand, intense drama Mulk starring Rishi Kapoor & Taapsee Pannu has impressed everyone with its strong content and registered the business of 8.16 crores in the weekend that included 1.68 crores of Friday, 2.81 crores of Saturday & 3.67 crores of Sunday.
Then on weekdays, as usual, Abhinav Sinha’s directorial faced a drop but still remained decent. It minted the amount of 1.20 crores on Monday, 1.25 crores on Tuesday, 1.10 crores on Wednesday & 1.10 crores on Thursday. After 7 days, its total collection has become 12.81 crores at the domestic box office.
Irrfan Khan, Salman Dulquer & Mithila Palkar starrer Karwaan has got succeed to entertain the audience and received positive reviews. In the opening weekend, it raked the business of 8.10 crores with 1.60 crores on Friday, 2.80 crores on Saturday & 3.70 crores on Sunday.
On weekdays, Akarsh Khurana’s directorial faced a drop in footfalls but still managed to remain steady. The film bagged the business of 1.10 crores on Monday, 1.20 crores on Tuesday, 1.10 crores on Wednesday, and 1 crore on Thursday. With this, the total collection of Karwaan after a week has become 12.50 crores.
