Opening Day Collection of The Fate Of The Furious in India

After an impressive performed on paid previews, the highly awaited American action movie The Fate Of The Furious has been released at Indian box office with full fledged. The eight installment of Hollywood’s very popular franchise Fast And Furious has not received rave reviews from critics but impressed everyone with jaw-dropping action scenes.

The year so far, has not come good for Hollywood movies in Indian market. That is why, the latest one has been released with huge expectations of fans. As expected, the movie has received favorable response from audience and gained good word of mouth. Because of what it seems to take good jump over the weekend.

On Wednesday, F. Gary Gray’s directorial had paid previews from 3pm and recorded overall good performance across the country. Reported it minted the amount of 6.29 crores from around 1600 screens. In all the major cities of India, the movie reported good excitement of audience and performed well.

On Thursday, as per schedule Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson & Jason Statham starrer The Fate Of The Furious aka Fast And Furious 8 has been released with little higher number of screens than Wednesday and witnessed overall similar response. The movie started the day with average occupancy but picked up well from evening shows.

With overall 35% of occupancy, it minted the amount of 9.75 crores and made it’s total opening business as 16.04 crores (including 6.29 crores of Wednesday), which is quite close to the opening weekend business of many Hindi movies released so far.

While it’s previous installment Fast And Furious 7, did the opening business of 12.30 crores nett in India. Now on Friday there is a holiday due to Good Friday and The Fate Of The Furious will have to perform in opposite of Vidya Balan’s much anticipated new Hindi offering Begum Jaan.
