Fifth Day Collection of Hamari Adhuri Kahani – Struggling in its first week

This week released director Mohit Suri’s Hamari Adhuri Kahani is struggling at box office from its very first week of release. The earlier expectations with the movie were good but the actual result is so disappointing. On its opening day the movie was collected only 5.04 crores and completed its opening weekend with average figures of 16.49 crores. The amount is not so bad but as compare to the expectations and pre-release buzz, it is very less.

Audience showing thumbs down to the movie, because of its incomplete story and worse screenplay. Even good music is not able to make Hamari Adhuri Kahani watchable. As per the reviews of audience and critics Emraan Hashmi & Vidya Balan have done their job well but the movie have nothing anything interesting. This is not the first time any movie received such cold response even after having good hype among audience; last year we have seen many movies with the same result.

Yesterday being Tuesday i.e. weekday, so a slight drop was already expected. On its 5th day of release, Hamari Adhuri Kahani has collected the amount of around 2.95 crores from Indian screens. Now the total collection of the movie has become 22.25 crores*, which is not a reputed figure in 5 days of release. We can tag it as a flop movie, because now there is no chance of improvement as next week ABCD 2 is releasing which is also having good buzz.
