After couple of years, stand-up comedian turned actor-producer Kapil Sharma is all set to present his second film titled Firangi this Friday. Opposite to this, Sunny Leone and Arbaaz Khan starrer Tera Intezaar is also being released. Despite sort of star power, either of the movie hasn’t got succeed to create desired pre-release buzz.
Directed by Rajiev Dhingra, period drama Firangi set in the year 1920 when Britishers were ruling India. Opposite to Kapil, it stars Ishita Dutta and Monica Gill in lead roles with Inaamulhaq, Kumud Mishra, Rajesh Sharma & more others in supporting roles.
Since it was announced, Kapil Sharma was very smartly promoting his new venture on his TV show The Kapil Sharma Show. But still Firangi doesn’t have that much hype among fans, that it should have or that his first film 2015’s Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon had.
Although KKPK did the excellent opening business of 10.15 crores, but after considering the current scenario Firangi seems capable to open in range of 2-3 crores only, which is overall decent as compare to it’s budget. Definitely the movie could take good jump over the weekend if it gets positive remarks.
On the other hand, Tera Intezaar has Sunny Leone who has huge popularity no doubt but her career so far is not much impressive. Also the movie hasn’t created any impact on viewers, so it seems difficult for Raajeev Walia’s directorial to rake over 0.75 crore domestically.
