This film was in buzz in the media due to its same release date with Baby which has caught attention from everyone. Featuring Sonam Kapoor, Pulkit Samrat, Rajkummar Rao and Varun Sharma in the main roles, film has reported a just decent opening in the Bollywood screens in most of the places.

Due to most of the audience craze towards Akshay Kumar starrer action film Baby; this film was not much awaited by most of the viewers. Sonam Kapoor women centric films are always expected for its peppy looks and fairy style dramatization of and this one also portrays somewhat same image. On its opening day of release film has revealed itself as an average runner and made a normal entry on box office.

Mixed response of audience and low occupancy have contributed in overall first day income of around 2.55 Crores.

Along with the other competitor Baby which released same day, it would be quite difficult for Dolly Ki Doli to make its place on the big screen. Saturday collection of the film is expected to rise a bit due to weekend time. But still everyone knows well that the one movie which will be leading the scores this weekend as well as week is none other than Baby affecting Dolly Ki Doli worse.
