Fukrey Returns 9th Day Collection, Surpasses Lifetime Total of Mubarakan in 9 Days

The much awaited sequel to 2013’s Fukrey, Fukrey Returns is performing beyond earlier expectations. Within the opening weekend, it recovered all the investment and also crossed the mark of 50 crores by the end of it’s first week. In the second week as well, despite having numerous new offerings in opposite, this comedy drama is ruling at box office.

Like the first part of the franchise, Excel Entertainment’s production Fukrey Returns is being liked by everyone and heading steadily due to positive word of mouth. In the opening weekend, it did the business of 32.20 crores, that included 8.10 crores of Friday, 11.30 crores of Saturday and 12.80 crores of Sunday.

Then in weekdays as well, Mrighdeep Singh Lamba’s directorial remained strong and raked the business of 5.10 crores on Monday, 5.05 crores on Tuesday, 4.30 crores on Wednesday and 3.90 crores on Thursday. After the first week, total collection of the movie was recorded as 50.55 crores from 1500 screens across India.

Now Fukrey Returns in running in it’s second week and has Hollywood biggie Star Wars: The Last Jedi and number of new Hindi offerings in opposite, but still has good hold over the audience. On 2nd Friday, it witnessed around 15% of drop than Thursday and minted the amount of 3.31 crores.

On the next day i.e. 2nd Saturday due to weekend and positive reviews, Fukrey Returns showed excellent growth and garnered the business of 5.15 crores. With this, it’s 9 days domestic total collection has become 59.01 crores and surpassed the lifetime total of Anees Bazmee’s Mubarakan (55.59 crores).
