Excel Entertainment Announces Release Date of ‘Fukrey Returns’

Finally one of the much anticipated films of the year, Fukrey Returns gets it’s release date. Sequel to 2013’s highly entertaining Fukrey is scheduled to be released on 8th December 2017. Produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani under the banner Excel Entertainment, this comedy drama is directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba.

Fukrey Returns stars Pulkit Samrat, Ali Fazal, Richa Chadha, Priya Anand, Vishakha Singh, Varun Sharma and Manjot Singh in lead roles, who are reprising their roles from the prequel along with very talented Pankaj Tripathi in supporting character. The film went on floor last year in August and majorly shot in Mumbai, New Delhi and South Africa.

Few days back, the team wrapped the shooting of Fukrey Returns aka Fukrey 2 and with the completion, makers have started setting buzz of it among audience. On 17th of March, they revealed the teaser poster of the film to announce it’s release date which is 8th December 2017. “The jugaadu boys are back to bring some Fukrapanti in your lives. #FukreyReturns  on 8th December.” the tweet came out from Excel Entertainment with a picture.

Regarding the same producer Farhan Akhtar tweeted, “Oh teri! Hani, Choocha, Zaffar, Lali & Bholi Punjaban are back for some more Fukrapanti.. coming 8th Dec. #FukreyReturns”. The actors of the film also shared the first look of Fukrey Returns from their ends. Ali Fazal, who is currently shooting for Hollywood film Victoria And Abdul tweeted, “Ok HERE IT IS-Sending the love from Pardes. #fukreyreturns on the 8th of dec.Saare Dhol Saath Bajengein! Das das dasdaaaa main thhaa fukraaa.”

Actress Richa Chadha wrote, “Delighted to announce that we’ll be back on the 8th of December with #FukreyReturns ! Thank you for continued love,dear fans of Fukrey ❤️”. As intended, this announcement has raised the excitement level of fans and now all are eagerly looking for more from Fukrey Returns.
