Gold and Satyameva Jayate 16th Day Collection, 2 Weeks Box Office Report India

Released on Independence Day 2018, the two major Hindi movies- Gold & Satyameva Jayate have completed their 2 weeks journey at the box office on an excellent note despite a clash with each other and having two new offerings- Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi & Genius in parallel in the second week.

Directed by Reema Kagti, the sports drama Gold has received mostly positive reviews from the critics as well as the audience. On a strong note, it did the business of 89.30 crores in the 9-days extended opening week with 71.30 crores on the weekend and 18 crores on weekdays.

In the second weekend, it managed to collect the amount of 9.70 crores that included 1.85 crores on 2nd Friday, 3.10 crores on 2nd Saturday, and 4.75 crores on 2nd Sunday. Then on weekdays, after a usual drop, Gold minted the amount of 1.45 crores on 2nd Monday, 1.30 crores on 2nd Tuesday and 1.25 crores on 3rd Wednesday.

On the next day i.e. 3rd Thursday, Excel Entertainment’s production remained steady and collected 1 crore. With this, the total collection of the movie after 16 days has become 104 crores. Now Gold has become the 7th highest Hindi grosser of the year by surpassing Raid (103.07 crores).

The adjacent release, John Abraham and Manoj Bajpyee starrer Satyameva Jayate has received mixed reviews from the critics but got succeed to entertain the audience. In the 9-days first week, it registered the business of 75.09 crores that included 56.91 crores on the 5-days weekend and 18.18 crores on weekdays.

In the second weekend, it did the business of 8.34 crores with 1.82 crores on 2nd Friday, 2.20 crores on 2nd Saturday, and 4.32 crores on 2nd Sunday. Then on weekdays, SMJ minted 1.49 crores on 2nd Monday, 1.46 crores on 2nd Tuesday, 1.31 crores on 3rd Wednesday & 1.11 crore on 3rd Thursday and raised its 2 weeks collection to 88.80 crores.
