Gully Boy 4th Day Box Office Collection, Crosses 72 Crores in the Opening Weekend!

The much-anticipated Hindi film Gully Boy was opened at a terrific note on Thursday and has passed its 4-days extended weekend phenomenally despite a significant drop on day-2. The film is getting huge support from the multiplex audience, while single screens remained decent throughout.

Starring Ranveer Singh & Alia Bhatt, the offbeat musical drama has received mostly positive reviews from the critics for its interesting story and crackling chemistry between the two. Both the actors have given brilliant performances and are being praised by everyone.

Directed by Zoya Akhtar, Gully Boy took an excellent start and successfully registered the highest opening of the year by collecting 19.40 crores on Thursday. With this, it has emerged as the biggest opener for Alia & second best for Ranveer.

On Friday, the film witnessed a drop of 32.48% but still managed to remain strong and did the business of 13.10 crores. Then on Saturday, it attained the pace back due to positive word of mouth and bagged the amount of 18.65 crores.

On the next day i.e. Sunday, with a further growth Gully Boy garnered the business of 21.30 crores and raised 4 days total collection to 72.45 crores nett at the domestic box office from 3350 screens. The film has set a solid base in the opening weekend, but Monday is crucial which will decide its fate.

Opposite to the Excel Entertainment’s production, there is Rajshri Productions’ Hum Chaar which was released on Friday but remained missing from the viewers’ watchlist. In the weekend, it has grossed only around 0.75 crore nationwide.
