Released at the special occasion of Valentine’s Day 2014, Gunday movie has completed its 1 month journey on box office. It was released on 14th February 2014 with a very strong word of mouth and much hype in media. Featuring talented and well known star cast like Arjun Kapoor, Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra which all are established names of Bollywood film industry; the film received great opening and response from the audience in its opening time. As it was a solo release so first week proved to be very beneficial and profitable for Gunday considering the box office collection figures. Being a romantic cum action flick audience enjoyed it thoroughly and even till now there were shows of Gunday going on in the cinema halls and theaters. It was directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and produced by Padam Bhushan, Aditya Chopra and Aashish Singh. Story of the movie was also written by Ali Abbas Zafar (director) and Sanjay Masoom. Music of the movie had been given by Julius Packiam and Sohail Sen.

Even after release of new films like Alia Bhatt & Randeep Hooda starrer Highway and Farhan khtar & Vidya Balan starrer Shaadi Ke Side Effects, Gunday continued its collections on box office. However the figures wet gradually down by each day but the collections on the whole were quite good and decent. On its first weekend it collected a very awesome figure of around 66.88 Crores. Second week proved little disappointing for the flick and stood at near 7.75 Crores. The film picked up little better in the later days and third week box office collections of flick came to around 2.30 Crores on box office. It is the last expected week for Gunday that is its fourth week of release. Fourth week collections of this romantic action flick is only 18 Lacs . Thus total box office collection of Gunday are expected to be around 78 Crores making it a hit movie in the list of Bollywood films of year 2014.
