Second Day Box Office Collection of ‘Hero’

Actor turned producer Salman Khan’s latest production ‘Hero’ has released on box office this week. The movie is facing mixed reviews of critics as well as audience in India. It features the new faces Sooraj Pancholi & Athiya Shetty in lead roles and both have failed to impress audience in their first attempt. Although the movie has made decent business of its first day at box office, which can be consider as good in case of newcomers. There is no doubt, that the stardom of Salman helped it to earn such reputed figure.

Hero is an official remake of Subhash Ghai’s directorial 1983’s classic love story ‘Hero (with Jackie Shroff & Meenakshi Sheshadri as lead stars)’. The latest version has been released on good number of screens under the banner of Salman Khan Films & Mukta Arts and is presented by Eros International. The movie has recorded the average response from audience in India but decent in overseas.

On its first day, Hero recorded the occupancy of around 35-40% and minted the amount of 6.85 crores at domestic box office. On overseas screens it made 2.32 crores including the business of Thursday & Friday. On Saturday instead of showing growth, the movie witnessed slight drop in its business and collected 6.62 crores as its second day collection on Indian screens. Early estimation was showing a decent growth, but the evening shows of Hero were not experienced any considerable increment in occupancy, as a result the day was closed at lesser amount.

Now Sunday is there, which usually results in better for Bollywood movies. Let see how much ‘Hero’ will add to its account on Day 3?
