Highway is a movie about a young city girl Veera Tripathi who get’s kidnapped one night  from the Highway while spending time with her fiancé with whom she’s about to get married in four days. The character of Veera Tripathi is played by Alia Bhatt who made her debut with Dharma production’s movie Student Of The Year the movie was super hit and Alia hit the jackpot with it by becoming so popular in such a short time. But the role of Veera Tripathi in Highway is very different from the character Shanaya she played in Student Of the Year and the role of Mahabir Bhati is played by Randeep Hooda who is known for his intense acting and has gained a lot of appreciation for his roles in Once upon a time in Mumbai, Jannat 2, Heroine etc. But all this could not make audience to love Highway movie. It drove all the expectations of the public from its first day.

First Thursday Business of Highway

Movie released right one week later Gunday and was earlier estimated to beat current records of 2014 but at the end it is clear now that Imtiaz Ali’s new experiment did not prove to be speculative. Only the music is the main attraction for the audience to get connected with the stars. Alia Bhatt’s performance is somewhat satisfactory but it does not go up with the storyline of the flick which seems very unbelievable. By now highway has not got any bigger collection on any day. Today being its 6th day of release, morning and evening still do not show any awesome or increasing effect in figures. Chemistry of both the lead stars is good but not as sweltering as was being predicted due to presence of Randeep Hooda. 6th day collection of Highway is around 2 Crores at most. Tomorrow will be the last working day for this flick as day after tomorrow new films are getting released that will snatch Highway path and collections as well.
