Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham and Idris Elba starrer Hobbs & Shaw has remained decent on weekdays despite a major drop in footfalls after a strong opening weekend at the Indian box office. While the adjacent Hindi release Khandaani Shafakhana showed a dull performance throughout.
Presented by Universal Pictures, a spin-off of the popular franchise Fast & Furious has got succeed to entertain the audience across India and gathered a good word of mouth. From critics also, it has received mostly positive reviews for the jaw-dropping actions and thrilling story-line.
Hobbs & Shaw was opened at a terrific note in India and had recorded fair growth afterwards. In the opening weekend, it had raked the business of 42.90 crores that included 13.15 crores on Friday, 13.75 crores on Saturday & 16 crores on Sunday from 2100 screens including all the versions.
Then on weekdays, Hollywood offering has witnessed a significant drop but still managed to remain decent. On Monday, it did the business of 6 crores, while collected 5.25 crores on Tuesday & 4.60 crores on Wednesday. On the next day i.e. Thursday, it has minted 4 crores and raised 7 days total collection to 62.75 crores nett.
On the other hand, Sonakshi Sinha starrer Khandaani Shafakhana has got failed the box office and had scored only 2.75 crores in the weekend. Then on weekdays, it has bagged 0.35 crore on Monday, 0.30 crore on Tuesday, 0.25 crore on Wednesday & 0.20 crore on Thursday. After a week, its total domestic collection has become 3.85 crores nett.
