“Holiday- A Soldier is never off duty”- Third Day Box Office Collection
The movie, which released on Friday, 6th June, is a story of a soldier’s holiday that turns out to become his full time mission to save Mumbai from another massive terror attack, while he takes out time for his bride’s hunt.
This has already impressed the audiences and the critics with a 4.5 stars critic ratings. Let us peek more into the review and the collections so far. This article will also predict the 3rd day total collection and a weekend nett collection.
Starting with the cast it has the amiable Akshay kumar- Sonakshai Sinha duo in the lead. Alongside is greatest comedian of all time Govinda. Supporting role have been played by Sumeet Raghavan, Farhad Daruwala,Gireesh Sahedev and Zakir Hussain. The action genre is directed by A.R Murugadoss and thrills you for the next 170 minutes once you enter the movie hall.
The film is a remake of the Tamil ‘Thupakki’ offers an intelligent plot with blows, blasts and raw bone-cracking action. This surely rages a fear that anyone from paanwala to a pizza-delivery boy could be a terrorist.
The core plot is finely directed but side tracks like the romance between the lead duo and the bomb diffusing acts are quite a waste of time. The songs too tend to creep into the plot. Akshay’s stunts are jaw-dropping, and indeed leads the top show without much support from his team of actors. Farhad who is the lead villain does not impress much while Sonakshi slides in for a song or two.
Virat Bakshi (Akshay) in his camouflage suits and neon barmudas, whether on a secret mission as Defence Intelligence Agent or romancing his energetic boxer belle Saiba (Sonakshi), he looks good in all.
While Virat is on his holiday to find a suitable match for himself, his holiday turns into mayhem when a terror blast kills school students in a bus. A suspect is caught and then begins a cascade of event that leads to more suspect that may cause deceitful annihilation. These sleeper cells or the terrorists in the form of a common man are a big threat to the society.
This one is for the soldier who lives in the jaw of death and is a wakeup call for the ‘Sleepers’ thrive. Since the story is quite clear, the fact that it maintained its position as the 4th highest opener could be ravishing too.
