‘Housefull 3’ Surpasses ‘Golmaal 3’ Lifetime Collection

The third installment of India’s most successful comedy franchise Housefull has already completed its 2 weeks journey on box office very excellently. Being Akshay Kumar starrer the movie has been released with huge buzz among audience and witnessed amazing craze in theaters. It has not received much positive reviews from critics but still the results are fantastic.

Housefull 3 reported outstanding performance in the opening week and did the business of total 80.10 crores on domestic box office, that includes 53.31 crores of weekend and 26.79 crores of weekdays. In the second week, it witnessed 70% decline in its business and minted 23.10 crores, that includes 15.20 crores of weekend and 7.90 crores of weekdays.

After 2 successful weeks, total domestic collection of Housefull 3 was recorded as 103.20 crores. With this it became the 5th highest grossing comedy movie of all time in Bollywood by breaking the lifetime collection record of Bol Bachchan (102.94 crores). Now the movie is running in its third week and gets lesser response in the weekend due to new release Udta Punjab.

On its 3rd Friday, it faced almost 60% of drop than previous day and collected the amount of 0.65 crore. Then on Saturday, being weekend it received slight rise in its business graph and minted the amount of 0.92 crore. Till the end of its 16th day, Housefull 3 came closer to the lifetime collection of Son of Sardaar (105.03 crores) and all set to become 4th highest grossing comedy movie of all time by this weekend.

On the last day of weekend i.e. Sunday, being holiday it witnessed higher response than last 2 days and raked the amount of 1.45 crore from Indian screens. With this, total domestic collection of Housefull 3 has become 106.22 crores and it emerged as 4th highest grossing comedy movie of all time in Bollywood after Salman Khan’s Ready, Akshay’s own Housefull 2 & Ajay Devgn’s Golmaal 3.
