Jai Gangaajal 5th Day Collection, Now Faces Abrupt Fall in Business

‘Jai Gangaajal’ Unfortunately Slows Down So Early!

Priyanka Chopra starrer the latest installment of 2003’s super hit film Gangaajal has been released at box office this week and getting decent response from audience. ‘Jai Gangaajal’ has received positive reviews from critics as well as moviegoers but theaters are not witnessing much occupancy for it. The two weeks old film, Sonam Kapoor starrer Neerja is comparatively getting better response than the new one.

Earlier this Prakash Jha’s directorial film was expected to take place of Neerja after release, which it has done but get slowed down so early. That actress is being praised by everyone for her power packed performance, but that praising is not resulting in impressive business.

Jai Gangaajal had taken a decent start at box office with normal initial buzz and ended the opening weekend with total of 17.70 crores at domestic box office, that includes 5.50 crores of Friday, 6.25 crores of Saturday and 5.95 crores of Sunday. As per report, the film is getting the similar kind of cold response in overseas too.

Now the film has entered in weekdays and being normal working days, it has started getting low occupancy in theaters. On Monday, due to the holiday of Mahashivratri, Jai Gangaajal had managed to collected 2.90 crores as its fourth day collection. On the next day, it faced abrupt fall and raked the business of 2.30 crores* as its fifth day collection. Till the end of its 5 days, total domestic collection of the film is recorded as 22.90 crores*.
