Jai Gangaajal 7th Day Box Office Collection, Film Earns 27 Cr in 1 Week

Prakash Jha’s Jai Gangaajal Completes One Week Journey

Last Friday released, ace filmmaker Prakash Jha’s directorial film ‘Jai Gangaajal’ has completed its one week journey at box office with average business total. The film has been released with high expectations, as it features one of the most popular Indian actresses Priyanka Chopra and also its prequel 2007’s Gangaajal was a super hit. Inspite of positive reviews by all the critics as well as movie goers, film has not raked impressive business on Indian and overseas screens as well. The actress has received huge appreciation for her remarkable performance, also the director has done his work flawlessly. But these things, didn’t make it earn to the satisfied level.

This Priyanka Chopra starrer film has been released on 2600+ screens across the country and 300 in overseas. With decent occupancy, Jai Gangaajal has raked the business of total 17.70 crores on Indian screens in its opening weekend, that includes 5.50 crores of Friday, 6.25 crores of Saturday and 5.95 crores of Sunday. The overseas business was also recorded quite decent in the weekend.

In weekdays, the film faced considerable drops as expected on the basis of its performance in weekend. On Monday it had managed to collect little decent amount of 2.90 crores due to Mahashivratri’s holiday. On the next day, being normal working day, it had witnessed abrupt fall and minted the amount of 2.30 crores*. Then on Wednesday, with almost similar response film collected 2.18 crores*. On the last day of week, Jai Gangaajal has recorded some drop and added the amount of 1.92 crore* to make its opening week domestic total as 27 crores*.
