Last Friday released, the much-awaited action-adventure Hindi film Junglee has completed a week on an overall decent note despite a slow start & mixed reviews. While the intense romantic drama Notebook has unfortunately remained dull throughout despite being backed by superstar Salman Khan.
Starring the new age action hero of Bollywood, Vidyut Jammwal, Junglee has gathered mixed reactions from the critics but got succeed to entertain the audience with its hard-hitting actions. In the weekend, it did the business of 13.85 crores which included 3.35 crores on Friday, 4.45 crores on Saturday & 6.05 crores on Sunday.
On weekdays, after a usual drop, Chuck Russell’s directorial managed to collect 2.40 crores on Monday, 1.90 crores on Tuesday, 1.55 crore on Wednesday & 1.50 crore on Thursday. After a week, the total collection of Junglee has become 21.20 crores nett at the domestic box office.
On the other hand, newcomers Pranutan Bahl & Zaheer Iqbal starrer Notebook has received mostly positive reviews but still didn’t get enough attention from the audience. In the opening weekend, it registered the business of 2.65 crores with 0.75 crore on Friday, 0.90 crore on Saturday & 1 crore on Sunday.
Then on weekdays, Nitin Kakkar’s directorial showed no positive sign and minted 0.50 crore on Monday, 0.40 crore on Tuesday & 0.35 crore on Wednesday. On the next day i.e. Thursday, Notebook managed to collect 0.30 crore and raised its 1-week total domestic collection to 4.20 crores nett.
