2 Days Total Collection of Rajinikanth’s Kabali
Superstar Rajinikanth’s latest offering crime action Kabali has taken stupendous start on box office. Being year’s biggest Tamil movie, it has been released with enormous hype among fans as well as audience across the globe. Before the release, it reported the earning of more than 200 crores by selling its satellite, distribution and music rights of all three versions- Tamil, Telugu & Hindi.
Unfortunately Kabali has not received much positive reviews from most of the critics but audience liked it and showed big thumbs up. As per critics, Thalaiva has given his best in the movie and despite weak direction, his presence makes it entertaining and worth watch but it is not a Rajinikanth’s style movie. These mixed reviews of critics didn’t put any negative impact on its business so far.
On the opening day Kabali reported more than 95% occupancy in South, most of the theaters there were houseful for the entire day. In north and rest of the country, the movie witnessed the overall occupancy of 60-70% and minted the amount of 46.50 crores across India. This includes 21.50 crores of Tamil Nadu, 9.25 crores of Andhra Pradesh, 6.25 crores of Karnataka, 4.30 crores of Kerala and 5.20 crores of rest India.
On Saturday, Kabali reported slight drop in its business from Tamil & Telugu states but received higher response from north. With almost 85% occupancy in south and 70% in north, the movie done the business of 30.05 crores, with 12 crores from Tamil Nadu, 5.25 crores from Andhra Pradesh, 4.85 crores from Karnataka, 1.75 crore from Kerala and 6.20 crores from rest of India. With this, 2 days domestic collection of Kabali has become 76.55 crores.
