Rajinikanth’s Kabali 3rd Day Total Collection across India
Pa Ranjith’s directorial latest Tamil offering Kabali is ruling on box office and shattering all records. Not only in south India but in north too, the movie is witnessing immense craze of audience towards Rajinikanth & Radhika Apte starrer crime thriller Kabali. Being year’s biggest South Indian movie, it has been released with enormous hype and getting overwhelmed response across the country.
Fans of Thalaiva as well as audience are showing huge excitement toward Kabali and their craze can be easily seen outside the theaters and on social media. But one thing that pulls it back, is its weak direction which disappoints critics. This is the reason, Kabali has not received much positive reviews from critics but still the presence of superstar Rajini makes the movie critic-proof.
Before the release, Kabali earned the amount of more than 200 crores with its satellite, distribution and music rights including all three versions – Tamil, Telugu & Hindi. Also it reported the record business of 12.93 crores from USA-Canada with its preview shows on Thursday. Opening business of more than 35 crores on domestic box office was already estimated by its advance booking report before its release.
On its opening day, Kabali reported phenomenal occupancy of 95% in Tamil & Telugu states. In north and rest of India, it witnessed the overall occupancy of 60-70% and did the opening business of 46.50 crores nationwide with all three versions. The opening collection included 21.50 crores of Tamil Nadu, 9.25 crores of Andhra Pradesh, 6.25 crores of Karnataka, 4.30 crores of Kerala and 5.20 crores of rest India.
On Saturday being weekend Kabali reported decent rise in north but south regions witnessed considerable drops. With almost 85-90% occupancy in south and 60-70% in north, it raked the business of 30.05 crores on Indian screens with 12 crores of Tamil Nadu, 5.25 crores of Andhra Pradesh, 4.85 crores of Karnataka, 1.75 crore of Kerala and 6.20 crores of rest India.
On the last day of weekend i.e. Sunday, the movie witnessed more growth in north regions but reported almost similar occupancy as Saturday in south. As per the report, Kabali is estimated to collect around 33.45 crores consisting of 13.50 crores from Tamil Nadu, 5.50 crores from Andhra Pradesh, 4.90 crores from Karnataka, 1.80 crore from Kerala and 7.75 crores from rest of India. With this, opening weekend total domestic collection of Kabali will become 110 crores.
