Shakun Batra’s directorial and Karan Johar’s productional movie ‘Kapoor & Sons’ has already acquired the second position among 2016’s top grosser movies so far after Airlift and Neerja. It has been released last week with good initial buzz among audience due to wide scale promotions and started on a decent note at box office. Kapoor & Sons has received positive reviews from all the critics, which boosted up its hype to next level and made it earn impressively across the globe.

Audience find it very connecting and delightful, as everybody wanted such smile giving movie from a good time in this year. Critics have said it as one of the best movies from Dharma Productions, which is very true. Kapoor & Sons received terrific response in its opening week and did the business of total 46.93 crores from India, that includes 35.93 crores of weekend and 11 crores of weekdays. In overseas market too, it reported excellent business of 28.07 crores after one week.

After giving such impressive performance in the first day, the storm of Kapoor & Sons has not settled yet. It has reported comparatively better performance the new Hindi release Rocky Handsome. In its second week, Kapoor & Sons raked the business of 12.09 crores, including 4.21 crores of Friday, 4.24 crores of Saturday and 3.64 crores of Sunday. Till the end of its 2nd weekend, total collection of the movie was recorded as 59.02 crores on domestic and 35.65 crores on overseas box office.

Now it has entered in weekdays and as expected minted the amount of 1.80 crore on Monday with 50% of drop. On the next day i.e. Tuesday, it received slightly less response and done the business of 1.70 crore as its 12th day collection; made its domestic total as 62.52 crores.
