Ki and Ka 6th Day Collection; Crosses 35 Cr on Domestic Box Office

‘Ki and Ka’ still holds well in India

Eros International’s latest romantic comedy film Ki and Ka is heading smoothly on box office across the country as well as overseas. The film has been released on approx. 1700 screens in India with good pre-release hype among audience. As expected it has received positive reviews from critics but taken a decent start on first day. Due to positive buzz generated because of favorable response of audience, it showed impressive recovery of the business and emerged as third highest opening weekend grosser of the year so far after Airlift and Kapoor & Sons. This is the first rom-com of 2016 and strongly buzzing nationwide due to its quirky story line and of course the sweet chemistry between the lead stars Arjun Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan.

In its opening weekend, Ki and Ka reported overall terrific response and raked the business of total 25.23 crores from India, including 7.30 crores of Friday, 8.41 crores of Saturday and 9.52 crores of Sunday. With these figures, the film has dominated first weekend collection record of previous anticipated releases like Neerja and Ghayal Once Again. From overseas market also, it showed quite well performance in the weekend and collected 12.25 crores from there.

Now it is running weekdays and as often getting lesser footfall than weekend but still holds well. With more than 50% of drop, Ki and Ka added decent business figures of 3.54 crores on Monday and 3.30 crores on Tuesday. On Wednesday it received little less and minted the amount of 2.82 crores. Till the end of its 6th day, total domestic collection of the film is recorded as 34.89 crores.
