After successful three week journey at the box office, the release of a big film like PK, which broke all the records, has significantly reduced the shows of Rajinikanth starrer Lingaa at multiplexes and cinema halls. The film was released on last year on 12 December 2014 and today it is on its 25th working day at the Kollywood and Bollywood big screens which is a huge remark for the movie in itself though collections are low now. Lingaa has shown decent performance as per the expectations and predictions regarding it.

It is not at all easy for a high budget south Indian movie to cover its cost and achieve this rank in just 25 days. Talking about the film’s performance on its fourth Monday, it has recorded a decent business by the end of the day. Though now there are so much other options for the viewers which all are decent movies, so Lingaa has started seeing a fall back in the trade and started doing low performance now.

It was seen that film received most of its business in the multiplexes rather than the single screens in the south region as Bollywood screens haven’t contributed enough. Anyhow total income of Lingaa on its 25th day of release is around 1.12 Crores*. No one knew that this romantic cum action move will break all the records of this year movies and stand at top positions in south film industry.

The film has got so many compliments from the critics, film reviewers and analysts for its marvelous performance and audience friendly content. It has beaten records of many Tamil plus Telugu releases this year and has the crown in its hand and top figures in its account. Even after so much movies present on the screens, Lingaa still has got few viewers and may survive another week on box office at most.
