After a tremendous start, superstar Mahesh Babu, Pooja Hegde & Allari Naresh starrer Maharshi has remained strong on Friday also despite mixed reactions from the critics. With the support of fans, the Telugu action drama is running phenomenally at the box office worldwide.
Directed by Vamsi Paidipally, Maharshi has unexpectedly got failed to convince all the critics but made the right buzz among the audience across the Telugu states & other south Indian centres. From the overseas market as well, it is getting an excellent response.
On Thursday, the 25th film of Mahesh Babu opened at an earth-shattering note with more than 95% occupancy in the morning and maintained the pace throughout. In the end, it registered the opening business of 34 crores gross from AP/T including the shares of 24.68 crores, and 48.80 crores gross at the worldwide box office from 1900 screens.
Although it got failed to beat the opening record of Mahesh Babu’s previous offering Bharat Ane Nenu of 55 crores. On the next day i.e. Friday, the film recorded a heavy drop in footfalls and bagged the amount of 10.88 crores gross from Telugu states & 16.10 crores gross globally.
With this, Maharshi has grossed the amount of 64.90 crores at the worldwide box office, while 44.88 crores from Andhra Pradesh & Telangana with 32.57 crores shares. As per the current, it is expected to remain steady over the 4-days extended weekend.
