‘Manjhi’ 1st Day Collection: Positive Reviews but Dull Business

Ketan Mehta directorial the latest biographical movie Manjhi: The Mountain Man has received super positive response from audience as well as critics. But as expected it has not minted good amount at box office. The reason behind such dull performance of Manjhi is, the presence of Akshay Kumar starrer Brothers at box office and the release of Abhishek Bachchan starrer new movie All is Well.

On 9th of August, the preview copy of the movie was leaked out on internet which is also resulting in low business. After Bihar, Uttar Pradesh & Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand Govt. has also declared the movie tax free but still it hasn’t get much audience in theaters.

Everyone who watched the movie have liked it and showed thumbs up to the movie. Nawazuddin Siddiqui & Radhika Apte are receiving huge appreciation for their performance in the movie. Nawazuddin is on the finest actors in Bollywood and also the reason behind such good pre-release hype of the movie. With her talent Radhika is increasing her fans in India now and played her role superbly in Manjhi.

On the opening day, Manjhi recorded overall occupancy of only 10-15% in India. It has minted the amount of 1.40 crore as its first day collection at domestic box office. Being weekend, it is expected to show slight growth on Saturday and Sunday.
