Last Friday released two Bollywood movies Manjhi & All Is Well have completed their journey of one week at box office. Both the movies were expected to get better after release but unfortunately nothing happened in that way. Even after having good pre-release hype among audience, both packed up at average figures.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui & Radhika Apte starrer biographical movie Manjhi that is based on the real life of Dashrath Manjhi. Ketan Mehta’s directorial received huge appreciation from viewers after the release of its official trailer. Also the presence of Bollywood’s one of the finest actors Nawazuddin, raised its hype among fans and audience. But still after release it received very low occupancy of 10-15% only.
In its first weekend it made total collection of 6.35 crores that was included 1.40 crore of Friday, 2.25 crores of Saturday and 2.70 crores of Sunday. It collected 3.82 crores in its weekdays that includes 1.10 crore of Monday, 1.02 crore of Tuesday, 0.85 crore of Wednesday and 0.85 crore of Thursday. Till the end of its 7th day, the total one week collection of Manjhi is recorded as 10.17 crores.
The adjacent release All Is Well is performing better than Manjhi but not so impressive. It features Abhishek Bachchan, Asin, Rishi Kapoor & Supriya Pathak in lead roles. This family drama movie was also having good hype among audience and fans before release but it started on below average note. On its first day, it was recorded the overall occupancy of 30-35% and minted 2.90 crores in India.
The movie was minted 11.91 crores as its weekend collection that was included 2.90 crores of Friday, 3.98 crores of Saturday and 5.03 crores of Sunday. In weekdays as usual it faced drops in its business and minted 7.16 crores* as weekdays total that includes 2.10 crores of Monday, 1.90 crore of Tuesday, 1.65 crore* of Wednesday and rest 1.51 crore* of Thursday. After a week, the total collection of All Is Well is 19.07 crores* which is almost double of Manjhi.
Now they have entered in the second week and due to release of Phantom, now it is very difficult for both to survive at box office. On its second Friday, i.e. 8th day, Manjhi recorded almost 10% of occupancy on left screens and minted approx. 0.60 crore*. Whereas, All Is Well recorded occupancy of around 15% and minted 1.12 crore* as its 8th day collection.
