Masaan Pre Release Reviews: All set to Release on 24 July, Ft. Richa Chadha

The upcoming Indian drama movie Masaan, titled as Fly Away Solo in English is ready to hit screens on coming Friday at box office. The movie is directed by Neeraj Ghaywan and produced by Manish Mundra, Melita Toscan Du Plantier, Marie-Jeanne Pascal, Guneet Monga, Shaan Vyas, Vikas Bahl, Vikramaditya Motwane & Anurag Kashyap under the production banners of Drishyam Films, Macassar Productions, Phantom Films, Sikhya Entertainment, Arte France Cinema and Pathé Productions. Masaan is featuring Richa Chadha & Vicky Kaushal in lead roles along with Sanjay Mishra, Shweta Tripathi, Pankaj Tripathi, Vineet Kumar, Nikhil Sahni, Bhagwan Tiwari, Bhupesh Singh, Satya Kam Anand in supporting characters.

Masaan depicts two separate stories of Banaras, the first one is the story of a girl Devi (Richa Chadha) who caught in a hotel room with her fellow by police. For the reason, police starts interrupting and demands bribe from her family. The second story is of a young boy Deepak (Vicky Kaushal) who belongs to lower-class family but falls in love with a girl Shaalu (Shweta Tripathi) who belongs to upper-class. The movie is clearly a story of two persons who are trying to get escape from the narrow minded society.

Masaan already represented in Un Certain Regard section at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival and received huge appreciation from the viewers for its concept. It has also won the FIPRESCI Prize in Un Certain Regard section and a ‘Promising Future’ prize for debut film. The movie is scheduled to be released day after tomorrow on 24 July 2015.

The special screening of Masaan was held on 20 July, along with the team of movie many B-town celebs were attended the screening that includes Dia Mirza, Daisy Shah, Kalki Koechlin, Shabana Aazmi, Javed Akhtar, Ali Fazal, Lauren Gottlieb etc. All are praising the movie and the performance of star cast.
