Nayanthara starrer latest Tamil horror movie Maya is doing very well at box office. The movie was released on 17th September (Vinayaka Chaturthi) on 180 screens in Tamil Nadu. It has received very positive reviews and appreciation from critics. Maya is a directorial venture of Ashwin Sarawanan under the production banner Potential Studios. The movie is getting overwhelmed response from audience across the state.

Nayanthara is one the most popular actresses in Kollywood, so the craze of her fans towards Maya was very high. The movie was received huge appreciation from everyone after the release of its official trailer. As a result it is collecting nice business figures in weekdays too. Along with Tamil language, Maya was also released in Telugu dubbed version. As per the sources, it was recorded the total business of 86.58 lacs in the first weekend on 180 screens of Tamil Nadu state and quite similar collection in Andhra Pradesh & Telangana on Telugu screens.

Producers of Maya have officially stated that the movie had grossed approximately 6 crores on Tamil screens & 2.75 crores on Telugu screens in its first 4 days including its distribution shares. Now the movie has completed its first week journey at box office and as per the report, it has raked 7.50 crores* from both Telugu states (AP & Telangana) & near about 9 crores* from Tamil Nadu.
