October 1st Day Collection Prediction, Shoojit Sircar’s Film to Open on a Good Note

The major release of this Friday, October is all set to hit the screens with good buzz among the audience. Directed by the ace filmmaker Shoojit Sircar and written by Juhi Chaturvedi, it is an unconventional romantic drama starring Varun Dhawan and the debutante Banita Sandhu in lead roles.

Varun Dhawan is one of the most popular young actors in Bollywood who hasn’t given a single flop in his career so far. After back-to-back nine hits, now he is ready to make it 10 with his new offering October which looks intense and highly promising by the trailer.

From 2012’s Student Of The Year to his last 2017’s Judwaa 2, Varun has received full support from fans as well as the audience. He has 2015’s Dilwale at the top of the list of his biggest openings with 21 crores and Judwaa 2 (16.10 crores) as a solo best. His only offbeat film so far is 2015’s Badlapur that was registered an opening of 7 crores.

October is the first ever collaboration of Varun Dhawan with Shoojit Sircar, whose top opening directorial venture so far is 2015’s Piku that was started with 5.32 crores despite featuring Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan.

Considering the figures and fact that IPL is going on, October seems capable to open in a range of 7-9 crores at the domestic box office. Early reviews from the critics are quite positive, so if audience also reacts in same, it will take a good jump over the weekend.

Presently, the audience is showing an unusual behavior, they are not going behind big stars but a good and relevant content. Finally, they have started accepting offbeat films and this factor can result in favor of Varun-Banita starrer at the box office this week.
