After passing the opening weekend on a decent note, the unconventional romantic drama October has witnessed an abrupt drop in footfalls on weekdays but maintaining a steady pace due to critical acclaim. Despite slow screenplay, the movie is being liked by multiplex going audience.
Varun Dhawan who is known for massy movies has performed his intense character brilliantly and getting huge appreciation from everyone. Opposite to him, October stars the debutante Banita Sandhu, who also has left a good impact on the viewers with her innocence.
The recent collaboration of hit director-writer Shoojit Sircar & Juhi Chaturvedi duo was expected to open on a good note. But unfortunately, it took a slow start on Friday and did the business of 5.04 crores, which are the lowest opening figures of Varun Dhawan‘s career so far.
Due to a favorable word of mouth, October showed healthy growth over the weekend and bagged the amount of 7.47 crores on Saturday and 7.74 crores on Sunday. After 3 days, the total collection of the movie was recorded 20.25 crores from 1683 screens across the country.
Now Rising Sun Films’ production is running on weekdays and as usual, getting lower occupancy in theaters than before. On Monday, it faced a drop of approx. 46.4% than Friday and minted the amount of 2.70 crores. Then on Tuesday, it collected the business of 2.61 crores with almost similar pace.
On the next day i.e. Wednesday, October witnessed little more decline and added the amount of 2.43 crores to its account. With this, its 6 days total collection has become 27.99 crores at the domestic box office. As per current trend, Varun-Banita starrer is likely to rake around 30.25 crores by the end of this week.
