After passing three weeks on an excellent note, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Padmaavat has no mood to slow down in the fourth week. Despite having Akshay Kumar’s PadMan, the newly released Aiyaary and Black Panther in the opposite, this epic period drama showed good hold over the audience on its fourth Friday.
Surrounded by controversies, Padmaavat was released after several postponements but that didn’t result in a drop of hype. After getting positive reviews from viewers, the movie gained strong word of mouth and showed terrific performance at the box office so far.
In last three weeks, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, and Shahid Kapoor starrer has done the business of 267.75 crores, that included 1.66.50 crores of the first, 69.50 crores of the second and 31.75 crores of the third week from Indian screens.
Now it has entered in the fourth weekend and still getting good response across the country. On 4th Friday, Padmaavat witnessed a usual drop of 30% than the previous day and minted the amount of 1.75 crore. With this, its 23 days total collection has become 269.50 crores at the domestic box office.
As per current trend, Bhansali’s directorial is expected to take a good jump over this weekend as well. Also, the mixed response of audience towards Aiyaary could help Padmaavat to attract more audience but yes it has to share that bonus with last week released PadMan.
