On the opening day, the film received terrific response from audience and garnered the business of 19 crores. As compare to it’s huge budget, these box office numbers are not very impressive but despite non-screening in several states like Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, it scored well.
A day before the release, Padmaavat had paid previews partially commenced across India from evening. With that, it collected the business of 5 crores which made it’s opening day total as 24 crores. Then on Friday it was a holiday due to Republic Day, that resulted out in a big form.
On it’s second day, Padmaavat showed around 68% of growth in footfalls and minted the amount of 32 crores that raised it’s 2 days total collection to 56 crores at domestic box office. As per reports, Saturday and Sunday are also expected to be equally strong.
