Padmaavat 9th Day Collection, Deepika-Ranveer-Shahid Starrer Collects 177 Crores Total

After Ram Leela and Bajirao Mastani, the third full-fledged film of Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh together, Padmaavat was released last Thursday and opened to a massive note despite challenging conditions. Due to strong word of mouth, it remained rock-steady throughout and completed the opening week fantastically.

Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Padmaavat stars Shahid Kapoor alongside Deepika & Ranveer in lead roles. All the actors have given outstanding performances and are being praised by everyone. Also, Bhansali has received huge appreciation from the entire Bollywood for making such a masterpiece.

Due to numerous controversies, this epic period drama gained huge hype among audience across the globe and as a result did an excellent business of 114 crores on its opening weekend despite non-screening in Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh.

The weekend total included 5 crores of Wednesday (Paid Previews), 19 crores of Thursday, 32 crores of Friday (Republic Day), 27 crores of Saturday and 31 crores of Sunday.

In weekdays as well, Padmaavat remained super strong and minted the amount of 15 crores on Monday, 14 crores on Tuesday, 12.50 crores on Wednesday and 11 crores on Thursday. After the 8-days extended opening week, the total collection of the film was recorded 166.50 crores.

Now Viacom18 Motion Pictures’ presentation has entered in the second weekend and showing terrific performance. On 2nd Friday, Padmaavat faced a minimal drop of 10% than the previous day and raked the business of 10 crores. With this, the total 9-days collection of Deepika-Ranveer-Shahid starrer has become 176.50 crores at the Indian box office.
