Padmaavat (Padmavati) 20th Day Collection, Bhansali’s Film Goes Past 260 Crores Total

Ace storyteller Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s highly buzzed Padmaavat is not showing any sign of a slowdown at the box office. The epic period drama film is heading steadily in the third week as well, despite having newly released highly anticipated superstar Akshay Kumar starrer Padman in its opposite.

After completing last 2 weeks on an excellent note, Padmaavat that was earlier known as Padmavati has a good hold over the audience in the third week and cashed the weekend thoroughly. It did the business of 17.80 crores in the third weekend, that included 3.50 crores of Friday, 6.30 crores of Saturday and 8 crores of Sunday.

Now the film is running in weekdays but showing minimal drops in footfalls. On 3rd Monday, Viacom18 Motion Pictures’ presentation minted the amount of 3.20 crores with a drop of only 9% than Friday. On the next day, Padmaavat raked 3.75 crores due to Maha Shivaratri holiday and raised its 20 days total collection to 260.75 crores at the domestic box office.

Starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, and Shahid Kapoor, Padmaavat got released on Republic Day weekend with huge buzz among the audience that it gained because of controversies. As a result, it remained strong throughout the opening week and collected the business of 166.50 crores, that included 114 crores of 4-days weekend and 52.50 crores of weekdays.

In the second week as well, the film maintained a solid pace and garnered the business of 69.50 crores that included 46 crores of the weekend and 23.50 crores of weekdays. After 2 weeks, its total domestic nett collection was 236 crores.
