By remaining strong throughout its journey so far, the epic period drama Padmaavat has grossed over 500 crores at the worldwide box office. Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the movie has received very positive reviews from everyone and as a result giving an edge to edge competition to new releases like Padman & Aiyaary.
Surrounded by numerous controversies, Padmaavat got postponed several times but that didn’t hamper its hype. It was released with huge buzz and as expected opened to an excellent despite all the odds. Due to positive word of mouth, it picked up very well and showed steady performance so far.
In last 3 weeks, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, and Shahid Kapoor starrer Padmaavat has reported the business of total 267.75 crores, that included 166.50 crores of the 8-days extended the first week, 69.50 crores of the second and 31.75 crores of the third week.
The movie is running in its fourth week now and once again passed the weekend on a strong note despite having newly released Aiyaary and Black Panther in the opposite alongside existing Padman. In the fourth weekend, it bagged the amount of 8.75 crores, that included 1.75 crore on Friday, 3 crores on Saturday and 4 crores on Sunday.
Now Padmaavat is experiencing normal working days and as usual getting lesser footfalls in theaters than before. On 4th Monday, it minted the amount of 1.55 crore. On the next day i.e. 4th Tuesday, the movie collected the business of 1.25 crore and raised it’s 27 days domestic total to 279.30 crores.
