The debut production of Twinkle Khanna, Padman has already emerged hit but unfortunately, now it is not able to enter in the 100-crore club at the domestic box office. A couple of weeks back released Padman started its journey on a decent note and picked up well over the weekend due to positive word of mouth. By remaining steady on weekdays as well, it registered the business of 62.87 crores in the first week that included 40.05 crores on the weekend and 22.82 crores on weekdays.
Then in the second week, because of having new offering Aiyaary and Black Panther in the opposite along with the existing one Padmaavat, Akshay Kumar starrer got dropped by 78% and raked the business of 13.78 crores with 9.03 crores on the weekend and 4.75 crores on weekdays.
After the 2 weeks, the total collection of Padman has recorded 76.65 crores. Now once again it is running on the weekend but struggling to divert audience toward itself as newly released Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety is doing good at the box office.
On 3rd Friday, R.Balki’s directorial faced a drop of 50% than the previous day and did the business of 0.50 crore. With decent rise on 3rd Saturday, Padman bagged the amount of 0.80 crore and raised its 16 days total collection to 77.95 crores at the domestic box office.
