Padman 17th Day Box Office Collection, Mints 79 Crores by 3rd Weekend from India

A couple of weeks back released superstar Akshay Kumar starrer Padman has completed its third weekend at the box office. Just after the opening week, the movie got slowed down and now running on a low note. Being a non-masala flick, it got failed to divert major audience toward itself despite positive word of mouth.

The debut production of writer turned producer Twinkle Khanna, Padman was expected to perform well at the box office like Akshay’s last social drama Toilet Ek Prem Katha. But it opened on a decent note and raked the business of total 62.87 crores in the first week that included 40.05 crores of the weekend and 22.82 crores of weekdays.

After that, R.Balki’s directorial faced an abrupt in footfalls due to having newly released Aiyaary and Black Panther in the opposite along with the existing one Padmaavat. It did the business of 13.78 crores in the second week with 9.03 crores on the weekend and 4.75 crores on weekdays.

Now Padman is running in its third week and once again showed some growth over the weekend. On 3rd Friday, it witnessed a drop of 50% than the previous day and minted the amount of 0.50 crore. Then on 3rd Saturday and 3rd Sunday, the movie bagged the amount of 0.80 crore and 1 crore respectively.

With this, the total collection of Padman after 17 days, has become 78.95 crores at the domestic box office. Akshay-Sonam-Radhika starrer has already become hit but as per current trend, the 100-crore mark is out of its reach now.
