Due to limited promotions, John Abraham’s latest offering Parmanu was started its journey on a slow note but picked up very well over the weekend. The movie has got succeed to impress all the viewers and gained strong word of mouth. As a result, it is running steadily on weekdays at the box office.
Directed by Abhishek Sharma, Parmanu– The Story Of Pokhran is based on the series of underground nuclear tests carried out by India in 1988 at Indian Army’s test range. For its gripping content and solid performances by the cast that includes Diana Penty and Boman Irani alongside John Abraham, the movie has received mostly positive reviews.
On the first day, Zee Studios’ presentation opened on a slow note in the morning but ended the day at an overall average note after a considerable growth post noon shows. On Friday, it did the business of 4.82 crores and emerged 9th highest opener of the year at the Indian box office so far.
Then over the weekend, Parmanu witnessed a healthy growth in footfalls and raked the business of 7.64 crores and 8.32 crores respectively on Saturday and Sunday. After the first 3-days, the total collection of the movie was recorded as 20.78 crores.
Now John Abraham’s co-production is running on weekdays and still has a good hold over the audience. On Monday, it faced a drop of 14.94% than Friday and minted the amount of 4.10 crores. On the next day i.e. Tuesday, with a further dip, Parmanu bagged the amount of 3.81 crores and raised its 5 days total domestic collection to 28.69 crores.
