The last Friday released action thriller Indian movie Phantom has completed the journey of one week at box office today. The movie was performed extremely good in its first weekend but in weekdays it faced heavy drop in its business. It has received full support of fans and positive response from audience as well as critics through out the week. As a result, Phantom has managed to collect good total as compare to previous thriller movies of year 2015.
Phantom is the second movie of director Kabir Khan this year after Bajrangi Bhaijaan. He was expecting a better performance from the movie at box office, also it started good but abruptly lost its pace in weekdays. The favorable environment that was created by audience for the movie was not showed its effect in weekdays. Phantom was done the business of 33.18 crores as weekend total, that was included 8.46 crores of Friday, 12.78 crores of Saturday and 11.94 crores of Sunday. After this performance, the movie was expected to cross the mark of 50 crores very easily till the end of week. But unfortunately that is not happened, still it is away from the mark and will take atleast two days more to accomplish.
In weekdays the Katrina Kaif & Saif Ali Khan starrer done the business of approx. 14.22 crores as last 4 days total. After collecting good figure of 11.94 crores on Sunday, the movie faced heavy drop of 60% and minted only 4.40 crores on Monday. On Tuesday it recorded more drop and made the amount of 3.63 crores as its 5th day collection. On Wednesday it was raked 3.31 crores with a slight drop as its 6th day collection. Today is its last day of the week, as expected movie started the day with less occupancy and done the business of around 2.88 crores. At the end of the week, total domestic collection of Phantom has become 47.40 crores.
