‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ completes 2 weeks journey at box office

Recently released Salman Khan & Sonam Kapoor starrer family drama film Prem Ratan Dhan Payo has completed its 14 days journey at box office. This film was released on 12th November worldwide on 5600 screens and received very positive response from audience as well as critics. It showed phenomenal performance in the first week with highest opening of the year so far and done the business of 165.45 crores with only its Hindi screens. In its second week, PRDP had lost half of its pace but still managed to collected decent business total.

Earlier it was expected to perform like Salman Khan’s last blockbuster film Bajrangi Bhaijaan but it has not happened in that way but still the latest one is doing far better than other films. Audience find it very entertaining and a perfect family entertainer film. Because of the presence of Salman as lead, the film had huge hype among audience and also grossing excellent business figures at box office.

In the first week, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo did the business of 165.45 crores that comprises with 129.77 crores of four days weekend and 35.68 crores weekdays. From the second week, it was started witnessing comparatively low occupancy than the opening week. In the weekend, it was recorded the business of total 27.77 crores that includes 7.37 crores of Thursday, 5.50 crores of Friday, 6.70 crores of Saturday & 8.20 crores of Sunday.

In weekdays, it faced drops of almost 60% than weekend and grossed 8.30 crores that includes 2.70 crores of Monday, 2.70 crores of Tuesday & 2.90 crores of Wednesday. Till the end of its 14th day, total collection of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is calculated as 201.52 crores.
