PRDP has become Salman’s 3rd movie to Gross over 200 cr

Rajshri Productions and Salman Khan’s recent collaboration, the year’s biggest family entertainer Prem Ratan Dhan Payo has crossed the mark of 200 crores at box office and become the third movie of Salman that has minted over 200 crore after Bajrangi Bhaijaan & Kick. The movie was released on 4500 screens in Indian on 12th of November and received favorable reviews from most of the Bollywood critics as well as movie buffs. It had shown phenomenal performance in the opening week and witnessed overwhelmed response from audience across the globe.

Prem Ratan Dhan Payo was reported the total collection of 165.45 crores in the first week that comprises 129.77 crores of four days weekend from Thursday to Sunday & 35.68 crores of weekdays. After the opening week, it had lost half of its pace and hold on audience but still managed to gross decent total of 36.07 crores in the second week. PRDP has minted the total business of 27.77 crores in its second weekend of four days & rest 8.30 crores in weekdays. Week of the movie has ended a day before than normal as it was released on Thursday. Till the end of its second week, total collection of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo was recorded as 201.52 crores with its Hindi screens only.

Now it has been entered in the third week and started facing more drops in the occupancy as well as business. On its third Thursday i.e. today, it recorded slightly less occupancy than yesterday and has collected 2.01 crores as its 15th day collection. From tomorrow, new Bollywood romantic drama Tamasha of Ranbir Kapoor & Deepika Padukone is getting released, so it will not be easy for PRDP to maintain its pace further.
