Salman Khan’s PRDP acquires 7th position among Bollywood’s Top Grosser Movies
The most successful actor of the year Salman Khan’s recently released Prem Ratan Dhan Payo has entered in 200 crore club in India and also surpassed the lifetime domestic collection of Shahrukh Khan’s Happy New Year and Aamir Khan’s 3 Idiots. The movie was already acquired the second position in year’s highest grosser list and now it has also been added in Bollywood’s top grosser list of all time at 7th position. PRDP was released on the next day of India’s biggest festival Diwali i.e. 12th of November on 4500 screens in India and 1100 screens in overseas. It has received very positive reviews from most of the critics as well as movie buffs. Audience find it very entertaining and worth watch family entertainer which is being liked by all ages of viewers.
In its first week, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo was showed phenomenal performance at box office across the globe. It was minted the total domestic collection of 165.45 crores that comprises with 129.77 crores of four days weekend and rest 36.58 crores of weekdays. In the second week, it had lost half of its pace and collected total 36.07 crores that includes 27.77 crores of weekend and 8.30 crores of weekdays. Now it has been entered in the third week and getting less audience due to the new release Tamasha of stars Ranbir Kapoor & Deepika Padukone.
On the very first day of third week, it was recorded slight drop in its business than previous day and collected 2.01 crores on its Hindi screens. Till the end of its 15th day, total collection of the movie was calculated as 203.53 crores. On its third Friday, PRDP was faced a considerable drop due to new release(s) and reported overall occupancy of 10-15%. It was minted the amount of 0.90 crore as its 16th day collection. Today is its 17th day of release and as the new release Tamasha is not getting favorable response from audience, so the day has resulted out in better for Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. The movie has witnessed slight higher occupancy than yesterday and its collection is likely to be around 1.05 crore today.
