‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ has minted 129.77 Cr in 1st Weekend

Salman Khan & Sonam Kapoor starrer recent family drama movie Prem Ratan Dhan Payo has completed its first weekend journey at box office. The movie has received very positive reviews from most of the critics as well as movie buffs. It is getting overwhelmed response from audience across the globe. After 17 years the trio Salman Khan, Sooraj R. Bartajya & Rajshri Productions is back to repeat history. PRDP was released on the next day of Diwali i.e. 12th November on 5600 screens worldwide that comprises with 4500 screens of India & 1100 screens of overseas.

In just 3 days of release, this family entertainer had crossed the mark of 100 crores and has become the 10th movie of Salman Khan that have crossed the mark of 100 crore at domestic box office. On its very first day, it was opened up with whopping amount of 40.35 crores and registered year’s highest opening so far. On the next day, it witnessed drop of around 20% and minted the amount of 31.05 crores as its second day collection.

On its third day, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo was recorded some more drop and did the business of 30.07 crores. On the main day of weekend i.e. Sunday, movie faced a little drop in its business and grossed 28.30 crores as its fourth day collection and made its first weekend total collection to 129.77 crores. As now the movie has entered in the weekdays, so it started facing heavy drops in the occupancy as well as business. On Monday, it grossed the amount of 13.62 crores as its fifth day collection.
