Opening Week Performance of Salman Khan’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo

The biggest family entertainer of the year ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ has showed phenomenal performance at box office till yet. It was released on the next day of Diwali i.e. 12th of November on 5600 screens worldwide, comprises with 4500 screens of India and rest of overseas. Because of the presence of superstar Salman Khan, it had huge pre-release hype among audience and as per the expectations, started enormously on the opening day. It has registered the highest opening of the year so far at domestic box office with 40.35 crores. On international market also, it did excellent job and raked the highest overseas collection of 10.62 crores.

Prem Ratan Dhan Payo has received very positive reviews from most of critics as well as movie buffs. It is getting overwhelmed response from audience across the globe and heading towards setting new records. It had cross the mark of 100 crore in just 3 days of release at domestic box office and become the 10th movie of Salman that has entered in this club. With in its one week journey, it has become the second highest grosser movie of the year after his own Bajrangi Bhaijaan. The movie is being loved by everyone; all ages of audience, which is resulting out in favor and it is grossing excellent business figures.

In its four days weekend, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo had reported the total collection of 129.77 crores that includes 40.35 crores of Thursday, 31.05 crores of Friday, 30.07 crores of Saturday and 28.30 crores of Sunday. Now it is running in weekdays and witnessing less occupancy as compare to weekend. On Monday it was collected the amount of 13.62 crores with more than 50% drop than previous day. Then on Tuesday, it faced more drop and minted 12.04 crores as its 6th day collection. On the last day of its opening week, it has showed slight more drop and grossed 10.02 crores. Till the end of its 7th day, total one week collection of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is calculated as 165.45 crores.
