Qarib Qarib Singlle & Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana 1st Day Collection, Irrfan Khan Starrer Takes Lead

The two content-driven romantic drama movies that were buzzing decently among audience after the trailer, Qarib Qarib Singlle and Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana have been released at box office. Being based on similar genre, both are targeting to the same segment of audience, this is why opened to an average note.

Although there are several movies have been released this Friday but only above two are notable and getting considerable response from audience. While rest are just slot filler and facing shows cancellation like last week’s Kalki Koechlin & Sumeet Vyas starrer Ribbon.

Directed by Tanuja Chandra, Qarib Qarib Singlle has quirky plot and is being liked by audience. Although from critics it is getting mixed remarks but still leading over the adjacent one Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana with almost double rate.

On the opening day, Irrfan Khan & Parvathy starrer opening to an average note of 10-15% of occupancy and also recorded decent growth from evening shows. As per report, it has collected the amount of 1.75 crore from approx. 1000 screens across the country.

While on the other hand, Ratnaa Sinha’s directorial Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana has started it’s journey on little slower note than Qarib Qarib Singlle and getting mixed reviews from critics. Most of the audience are reacting in it’s favor but still it is lagging behind.

On Friday, it recorded 8-10% of occupancy for morning shows and witnessed slight growth from evening shows. With this, it has raked the business of only 0.75 crore from 800 screens nationwide. Both the movies are expected to take fair growth over the weekend.
