Qissa (2015)

Directed by Anup Singh the latest Indo-European drama flick Qissa is all ready to hit the screens this Friday on 20 February 2015 along with Badlapur. Film has been made on a sensitive and dense drama topic of partition in 1947 and its consequences. Critics are reviewing it has a deep emotional & performance based flick which will leave everyone in questions and haunts. Starring Irrfan Khan, Tillotama Shome and Tisca Chopra in the main roles, the film was also screened at Contemporary World Cinema section at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival and won the Netpac Award for World or International Asian Film.

Qissa-movie

The film has already gained much attention of the audience outside India and the critics before its release due to its sensitive script and story are expecting it to do good business. It is a very touching and emotional story according to the critics and is surely going to set a heart touching experience to the viewers when they will watch the movie.

Expected Collection of Qissa on First Day

The film is very good at most of the key points and may do well on box office though release of much hyped Bollywood movie Badlapur might snatch most of the screens from it in India. First day collection is being expected to range within 0.80 – 1.25 crore* as the film is good but not trending in India and has not been promoted much here.

It has a connective story, superb star cast, well experienced and popular film makers and touching performances of the leads in it along with good face value, so according to the critics and reviewers, Qissa has much in its account which can make it a good and successful release. But yes we cannot expect a record breaking or fabulous opening or business from the film due to its non masala & serious entertainer quotient.
