Superstar Ajay Devgn’s latest offering Raid is all set to surpass the lifetime total of Akshay Kumar’s PadMan (81.68 crores). After the excellent opening week, it has passed the second weekend as well as on a strong note despite the new Hindi release Hichki and has crossed the mark of 79-crore at the domestic box office.
Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, Raid received very positive reviews from the critics as well as the audience and gained strong word of mouth. As a result, it remained unaffected in front on the good-performing new release Hichki and still ruling over the box office.
After opening on a solid note, the movie remained strong throughout the first week and registered the business of 63.05 crores, that included the 41.01 crores of the weekend and 22.04 crores of weekdays from 3400 screens across the country.
Now Raid is running in its second week and once again passed the weekend on a strong note. With a drop of approx. 24% than the previous day, it minted the amount of 3.55 crores on 2nd Friday. Then on 2nd Saturday it took a solid jump and did the business of 5.71 crores.
On the next day i.e. 2nd Sunday, this crime drama recorded more growth in footfalls and collected the amount of 7.22 crores. With this, the total collection of Raid after 10 days, has become 79.53 crores from Indian screens.
