Raid 2nd Day Collection, Ajay Devgn-Ileana D’cruz starrer Picks Up Well on Saturday

After a solid start, director Raj Kumar Gupta’s latest venture Raid has picked up well on Saturday and all set to register a good weekend. As expected, the movie has impressed everyone with its strong storyline and performances by all the actors. As a result, it gained positive word of mouth and showing an uptrend at the box office.

Based on India’s one of the biggest income tax raids conducted by Indian Revenue Services in the 1980s, Raid is the second collaboration of superstar Ajay Devgn with Ileana D’cruz after the last year’s Baadshaho. Both are period dramas, but the new one has quite a different plot than the previous.

Friday released this period crime drama also stars the supremely talented Saurabh Shukla and his face-off with Ajay in the movie is one of the major highlights. At all the sections, it stands strong and this is why received mostly positive reviews from the critics as well as the audience.

On the first day, Raid opened on an ordinary note but by witnessing fair growth over the evening and night shows, it did the business of 10.04 crores on 3400 screens across India. With this, it has emerged the third highest opener of the year so far in Bollywood.

On the next day i.e. Saturday due to the weekend and favorable waves, Ajay-Ileana starrer took a good growth of approx. 38% and minted the amount of 13.86 crores. With this, the total collection of Raid after 2 days, has become 23.90 crores at the domestic box office.
